Benitachell or El Poble De Beniatatxell located in the municipaliy of Marina Alta. The population of Benitachell is 4130, and this is spread over an area of 12.65km2.
Benitachell is a small Spanish village, nestled between Javea and Moraira in Costa Blanca North Spain. Benitachell is just off the A-7 motorway, and is about an hours drive from Alicante Airport.
Benitachell is only a 5-minute drive to either Javea Beach or Moraira Beach, two of Spain’s beautiful beaches with stunning Coastlines.
With Benitachell being located so close to beaches and being easily accessible from Alicante Airport, many Expats choose to live in this picturesque village all year round. There are two schools in Benitachell, CEIP Santa Maria Magdalena- A Public Spanish school that teaches children from the ages of 3 – 11. From here the pupils would then move on to the Instituto Pueblo javea or IES de Teulada
Or you could choose to send your children to the Lady Elizabeth school in Benitachell. Lady Elizabeth is a Private International School which takes students from the ages of 15 months to 18 years. Lady Elizabeth school specialises in the English Curriculum.
Benitachell has it´s own police station in the centre of the village, which is open 24hrs. The police station has its own website with contact details attached.
In addition to the amenities listed such as supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants and police stations, Benitachell has it own Medical Centre within the village. To attend this medical centre however you will need a Sip card (A personal and non-transferable card that allows you access to the Spanish health care system. You will need to be a resident of Spain, Pensioner from a European country and receive a state pension), which can be obtained by signing on the Padron proving that you live in Benitachell. If you are holidaying in Benitachell, and therefor are not eligible for a sip card there are many Private healthcare centres that you could visit instead.

Benitachell has its own local market that runs every Wednesday morning. The market will give you a taste of the Spanish Culture. At Benitachell market you can fresh local Spanish produce such as Fish, Meat & seasonal fruits & vegetables. The local market also has Dairy products, Nuts, Olives, Eggs, clothes, shoes, belts and Handbags. The Spanish Spice Stall Is a particular stall to visit for those who love cooking. The products at the Benitachell market are of the highest quality and much fresher than those at many supermarkets, and you will find the prices cheaper. Most Spanish locals choose to do their shopping at the local markets.
Benitachell also has it own Pharmacy in the village on Carrer Les Capelletes. Opening times very with each independent pharmacy, so it is always best to check individual pharmacies open times. There is always a 24hr emergency pharmacy open. Each Pharmacy in the area takes it in turns to provide this service

Benitachell is a lovely Spanish village with a great local community; there is rarely a dull moment in Benitachell, as the Fiestas calendar will show. Spanish people are notorious for enjoying a party, and when they celebrate the fiestas and Saints days you will see the village transformed by parades, pennents, nightly celebrations, enormous paellas and fireworks.
Benitachell closest beaches are the El Moraig Beach and the Coves of Los Tiestos and El Llebeig, as well as the Blue flag beaches of Javea and moraira.

Benitachell has its own Bowls club, the only independent Bowls club on the Costa Blanca.
