The town offers all amenities for daily living including a variety of shops, a small supermarket, a bakery, tapas bars & restaurants, banks, and a small weekly market every Thursday morning. Albanchez benefits from a 24 hour medical centre and the nearest hospital is a 45 minute drive away in the town of Huercal Overa. An ambulance is always on standby and the village boasts a heliport as well for any medical emergencies. There are schools for children of up to 11/12 years and a school bus service to the secondary schools in the nearby town of Cantoria. The town also benefits from a sports centre and an outdoor municipal pool which is open during the summer months.
